If your condensing boiler聽gets聽annual聽maintenance, you can expect it to聽function聽about 15 years or聽longer. Cast iron boilers can last聽even longer, even up to 50 years with proper maintenance. If your condensing boiler is聽almost聽15 years or your cast iron boiler is聽coming up on聽50 years, it may be time to聽discuss聽an upgrade.
Bills
If your聽heating聽bills are聽going up聽or you’re having to聽service聽your boiler more聽often, it could be because it’s time to聽purchase聽a new, more efficient boiler.
Discoloration
If you聽see聽yellow flames on the gas burners and black soot on oil burners it could be聽a sign聽that the fuel is not burning聽adequately聽and could be聽producing聽carbon monoxide.
